Out of stock
Victorian Scottish Luckenbooth silver brooch with polychrome natural stones, constructed as an openwork and engraved crowned shield, with a large oval faceted honey-toned quartz suspended in the center and cabochons in yellow, violet, and pink tones distributed around the frame.
The piece belongs to the Scottish Revival, which gained particular popularity in Great Britain during the Victorian era. The reverse retains a British Registered Design lozenge, dating the design registration to February 23, 1866. The long pin, tubular hinge, and open catch system are consistent with 19th-century manufacturing. A great collector's item.
