Antique French sterling silver box, circa 1880-1915, in the Louis XVI Revival style. Small square format, featuring rich relief decoration with floral garlands, bows, beading, and a central oval cartouche, while the interior retains a completely gilded finish.

The combination of neoclassical repertoire, construction, and hallmarks places the piece within the realm of French silversmithing from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It retains the French Minerva hallmark, compatible with 950-thousandths silver, along with a maker's mark in a lozenge with the initials H–L and a central symbol not yet identified with certainty. The identity of the manufacturer therefore remains open. A collector's piece.
