Oval box made of solid silver by Adie & Lovekin Ltd, one of the most renowned workshops in Birmingham during the 19th and 20th centuries.

This piece, embossed in the Victorian Baroque style, features a design of scrolls and foliage with a plain central shield, ideal for engraving initials. The interior is gold-plated (vermeil inside) and the box closes securely, maintaining its functionality and decorative value.

Adie & Lovekin Ltd was a very active manufacturer of silver toiletries and decorative gifts during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Their pieces are highly prized by collectors for the quality of their repoussé and the sharpness of their hallmarks.
