Vintage necklace with faceted aurora borealis crystal beads and clasp
Vintage necklace with faceted aurora borealis crystal beads and clasp
Out of stock
Vintage three-strand necklace from around the 1950s, composed of faceted AB crystal beads of varying sizes. Each bead has been precisely cut from clear crystal with an aurora borealis finish that reflects iridescent hues. The design includes a rectangular clasp decorated with rhinestones set in silver-plated metal and an integrated safety chain.
This type of necklace was very popular in the 1950s and 1960s, especially among high-end jewelry brands such as Coro Laguna and Lisner. The AB finish was developed by Swarovski in collaboration with Dior in 1956 and marked a revolution in jewelry design.
Perfect for complementing a cocktail dress or as a collector's item, this necklace evokes postwar glamour and the fascination with artificial glitter characteristic of mid-century American fashion. An ideal gift for a woman or a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection.
