Art Deco pendant cross in silver and mother-of-pearl. France, circa 1930. Devotional jewel

Out of stock

Antique hanging cross, made of silver and natural mother-of-pearl, dating from around the 1930s, with geometric shapes and Art Deco style lines.

The design is notable for its symmetry and proportions, typical of the period, with straight arms and embossed metal ends inspired by stylized floral motifs. The body consists of a mother-of-pearl structure onto which the figure of Christ is applied in high relief.

This type of crucifix was common in Europe, where it became popular as a discreet and elegant personal devotional object.

It could be worn as an everyday pendant, as part of a rosary, or as a piece for a private altar. Today, it is valued for both its religious symbolism and its decorative and artisanal quality. A beautiful gift that will make a great impression!
